“I am sitting on my couch, after a long, complex, but overall beautiful day. Picturing my afternoon, spent hanging out in the Commons with beautiful black women during Black Joy Sunday, singing Al Green in the grass, laughing, and sharing stories. Being there in that park with them, fully present, full-belly laughing, felt surreal and intoxicating at times,” Bria recalls.
Bria Cherise Miller is many things – an illustrator, painter, a writer of poems and blogs, a performer, an organizer and most recently a DJ. Like all artists and people with special skills, she’s finding her way through her work, her community and an openness to learn and try new things.
